Unity theme has an additional built-in panel to display widgets on the home page. By default, the following widgets are displayed in this panel: "Recent Post" and "Categories". When demo-data is installed, "Unity Post Scroller Widget" is displayed in the panel. To change the displayed content in the panel on the home page you should go to Appearance > Widgets, select the necessary widget, insert it in the "Home Page Sidebar" widget, edit the necessary settings and click the "Save" button.
